Michael Mulligan

My experience in technology dates back to the early 1990′s, when I first got my hands on my family’s “IBM Compatible.” I have fond memories of the DOS Shell and Basic, and modern threats of “Blue Screens” still elicit feelings of nostalgia that no divide-by-zero can shake.

In 1997, I wrote my first web page, a presentation on Martian Exploration for my 7th grade Science class, that is actually still live.

By the end of my 9th grade year I had taught myself Perl, and was getting started with PHP and C++. This was also when I realized a future for me in Photography, purchasing my first SLR, a Minolta Maxxum 5.

Through High School I developed by skills in Photography, Videography, Design and Development. Keeping a watchful eye on trends, technology and styles, I focused my own personal style in such a way as to set myself apart from my peers.

In 2005, I signed as the photographer and web master for the Miss Maine Scholarship Pageant. Executing a momentous site redesign, and attending my first photographic assignment in January, 2006 (the 2006 Miss America Pageant), with my new Konica-Minolta Maxxum 5D, DSLR.

Nowadays I dream in PHP, SQL, CSS, XHTML, and AJAX, and I pick at movies for their angles, continuity, depth of field and Bokeh (much to the chagrin of friends and family).

Through beLine Perspectives I have had my hand in many business websites, from small “flat-file” sites, to large CMS-based sites pushing 100 or more pages. I’m standards driven, but not afraid of thinking outside the box. All projects have unique needs, and I pride myself on creatively meeting them.

Through CoverThis Photography I offer a full range of photographic and video services. I beleive in being personable and professional, bringing your unique qualities into the work, and meeting your unique needs. Again, pride in creative solutions.

I am a man, maybe not of “many” talents, but the ones I have, I consider myself pretty good at. And always developing.
